Dear Senior Chemists,

Please let me know by tomorrow evening if you plan to jus for the Horne Creek Farm visit this Friday, October 27. I will send final details of the trip only to those who plan to attend.

If you cannot join us this Friday we forward to seeing you 16 November.

Dear Senior Chemists,

We will take a half-day road trip on Friday, October 27 to Horne Creek Living Historical Farm near Pilot Mountain. This is a state-run working farm from the early 1900’s (no entrance fee). The schedule is roughly as follows but more detail will follow for those who plan to attend. Leaf viewing will not be optimum but should still be good.

8:15-30 AM – meet at a McDonald’s in the northern part of Winston-Salem

9:15 AM – arrive at Horne Creek Living Historical Farm (308 Horne Creek Rd, Pinnacle, NC 27043)

10:45 AM – leave the farm to go for lunch at King Restaurant (521 S Main St, King, NC).

12:15 PM – return home or join us for a drive to the top of Pilot Mountain

Please let me know if you will be participating no later than Friday, October 20. It would be desirable to do some car pooling depending on how many participate. If the weather is pleasant, I will be driving my Triumph (thus, no extra passengers).

EXTRA NOTE: The speakers for our November 16 meeting will be Rod Bennett, Cynthia Williard, and Ralph May. This should be an exciting and entertaining evening. More details to follow.
